Polarise supports the rapid launch of Deutsche Telekom’s Industrial AI Cloud in Munich
Press Release
Paderborn/Munich, February 4, 2026 – With today’s launch of the Industrial AI Cloud, Deutsche Telekom has set an important milestone for industrial artificial intelligence in Germany and Europe. Polarise is supporting the project as a data center partner and has played a significant role in ensuring that the platform could be implemented within a few months.
Accelerated AI Cloud Deployment
While the development of comparable AI infrastructures often takes several years, Polarise relied on its consistent brownfield approach for this project. Existing data center structures at the Munich site were specifically modernized, expanded, and upgraded for the operation of powerful AI workloads within the Polarise “AI Podsˮ (small, modular data centers within a data center). As a result, the Industrial AI Cloud could ultimately be deployed much faster than in traditional greenfield projects.
Quote from Polarise CEO
“The industrial use of artificial intelligence currently requires one thing above all else: suitable infrastructure in the shortest possible time,” says Michel Boutouil, CEO of Polarise. “With our concept and our AI Pods, we also make existing locations fit for AI – scalable, secure, and without years of lead time.”
About the Industrial AI Cloud
Deutsche Telekom’s Industrial AI Cloud is aimed at industrial companies and the public sector that want to use AI applications productively – for example, for data-intensive analyses, simulation-based processes, or AI-supported automation. Polarise provides the infrastructural basis for this, designed for high computing power, industrial requirements, and reliable operation. Equipped with up to 10,000 NVIDIA GPUs and more than 0.5 EFLOPS of computing power, the platform increases AI capacities in Germany by more than half, creating a new ecosystem for AI development, training, and deployment.
Impact and Ecosystem
With its successful launch, the project demonstrates that it is possible to rapidly establish modern AI infrastructure in Europe if existing resources are used intelligently. Polarise’s unique approach offers companies and partners a pragmatic way to make AI capacities available quickly while continuing to work sustainably with existing infrastructure.
